FingerTrip

Privacy

This page summarises how FingerTrip Inc. handles personal data on the waitlist site. It restates the data sections of the Terms of Service in plain language; the Terms remain the binding document.

Scope

This covers https://thefingertrip.com, the FingerTrip waitlist and marketing site. The FingerTrip app has not launched publicly, so nothing here describes in-app data handling; that will be published separately before launch.

The authoritative text is the Terms of Service, available from the footer of the homepage and last updated January 29, 2026. Where this summary and the Terms differ, the Terms govern.

What is collected

Why it is collected

Legal basis and email

Waitlist emails are sent on the basis of your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. They cover your waitlist status, development updates and launch announcements, early-access invitations, occasional surveys, and material changes to the Terms.

Consent can be withdrawn at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to privacy@thefingertrip.com. Unsubscribing removes you from the waitlist entirely and cannot be undone — rejoining means starting over. Your email address is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing.

How long it is kept

Information is retained while you are on the waitlist, plus up to two years after FingerTrip launches or the waitlist closes, whichever comes first. After that it is deleted or anonymised unless the law requires it to be kept longer.

Third parties and transfers

Third-party providers — email delivery, analytics, and hosting — process data only to perform specific tasks on FingerTrip’s behalf and are obliged to protect it. Data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, with the safeguards applicable data-protection law requires.

Your rights

Making a request

Write to privacy@thefingertrip.com with the subject line "Data Rights Request - [your email address]". Requests are answered within 30 days. You may be asked to verify your identity first, so that nobody else can exercise your rights on your behalf. There is no fee unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
